I think I'm going to go as Rick Astley for Halloween this year. "NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP!"

Geeks get rid of those damn vuvuzelas in an audio recording

What I think is amazing about this is the realization that, while televisions are becoming more like computers in the fact that they will soon be able to run applications and programs made by the public, people will be able to quickly create programs that will be able to do this for live television feeds.
Imagine when the World Cup started on Friday that, by Sunday, someone had created a program to cut out the frequencies of the vuvuzelas. This whole week, we could have been watching the games without those damn bugs making our ears bleed. It's technology and innovation like this that makes me excited to live at this time in history. Soon, television is going to be CRAZY to watch.

This website makes me feel NERDY
So, I don't actually want to purchase knives right now, until I move out on my own. There's no point in spending on these knives when my parents have knives that I can use. BUT DAMMIT, I really want to buy some of these knives. SO BAD.

I was listening to the Stuff You Should Know podcast, and they were talking about the "Innocence Project". It was very interesting, but they mentioned that 75% of cases overturned by the Innocence Project involved false facial identification in police lineups. Then, they mentioned the Cross-Race Effect, where people's brains are not wired to recognize small differences in the facial features of people of different races. VERY INTERESTING.
So when you ask me, "WHAT? DO YOU THINK WE ALL LOOK THE SAME?" I will reply, "Yes. I do."

  1. Did you ever seen the "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" episode where Dennis is in love with Rich Astley?
